We are currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Coordinator to join our Finance Department. This is a meaningful opportunity for professionals who are passionate about helping others live healthier, more independent lives. As a Revenue Cycle Coordinator, you'll assist in developing, planning, organizing, and implementing current and future strategies to bill customers, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow, and aid the overall health of the company’s Medicaid receivables. This position will work and help the Revenue Cycle Manager and Chief Financial Officer in reporting accurate financial information for financial reporting. The position assists in providing analytical analysis and helps create written guidelines, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information for all Medicaid functions.
Key Responsibilities
Adheres to the CareStar Rule in the performance of job responsibilities.
Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar.
Assists with the billing and collections processes and month-end closing of the billing group information.
Aids in the quality assurance for all Medicaid billing processes.
Helps provide reports and projections as required, for the development and management of the budget; assists in monthly reports that help in the monthly forecast process.
Helps compile and prepare various status reports for management to analyze trends and make recommendations.
Assists in the tracking, monitoring, and taking action to improve the timing of process completion and other operational metrics to meet established goals.
Help perform audits to ensure complete, accurate and timely processing.
Helps in monitoring the effectiveness of collection efforts and maintains billings are current within the established time frame specified in CareStar’s department policy.
Builds, develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with other departments.
Serves on work groups, community groups, committees, or other task forces and attends meetings as requested.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or two (2) years of billing and coding experience.
Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and utilizing analytics in problem-solving in the healthcare billing field.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and other reporting packages.
Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
